What's going on at the farm?
Please check out our NEWS page.

What can I expect?
During the 2010 Summer/Fall growing season (July-October), you'll receive a generous share of produce grown locally on your farm, following organic standards. Your farm will NEVER use any commercial pesticides, herbicides, or petroleum-based fertilizers.
At times, you'll also receive "extras". These "extras" include things like fresh eggs, honey, wild rice, baked goods, and more. While there is no way to say the exact contents each week, you can be assured that you'll receive the freshest and most flavorful produce you've ever had.

What are you growing - what kinds of things will I get?
Besides the "extras" mentioned above, the following is a condensed list of what we are or are in the process of growing. This is not a complete list, but it should give you a pretty good idea. All in all, we'll have planted one and a half million seeds (yowza!) by the end of June. 90% of what we grow is also hand-seeded (double yowza!).

Ready? OK, here we go:

90+ varieties of tomatoes ~ 40+ varieties of lettuce, kale, spinach, arugula, chard, cabbage, and bok choi ~ 80+ varieties of squash, watermelons and cantelopes/melons ~ 35 varieties of carrots, onions, turnips, parsnips, beets, jicama, oca, and radishes ~ 25 varieties of broccoli, cauliflower, rutebega, kohlrabi, and eggplant ~ 20 varieties of peas, beans and peanuts ~ 20 varieties of peppers (10 sweet, 10 hot) ~ 15 varieties of corn & popcorn ~ 12 varieties of cucumbers ~ 10 varieties of brussels sprouts, falstaff, okra, lemongrass, and asparagus ~ 4 varieties of artichokes ~ 3 varieties of celery ~ Strawberries, Sunberry, kiwifruit ~ Basil, thyme, chive, cilantro, fennel and other herbs. (whew!)

In addition, Christian and Al are always experimenting with many new veggies, fruits, herbs, and plants throughout the year (top secret stuff, of course). How do we do it? It helps to love what you do...
